Community Choice Energy

Community Choice Energy (CCE) is an appointed working group that's promoting alternative energy options for San Mateo County residents. David Bui of North Fair Oaks has agreed to represent District Four on the committee that's headed up by Supervisors Dave Pine and Carole Groom. They are working with a diverse group of community leaders from throughout the County to develop an alternative energy broker for the residents of San Mateo County. The plan is to offer county residents the opportunity to purchase power through a city/county collaborative that helps promote alternative (renewable) energy sources.

To share some of the work, the Office of Sustainability made a presentation at 10:00 a.m. in a Study Session at the Board of Supervisors meeting. If you want to watch the presentation, the video is posted at: http://bos.smcgov.org/board-meetings. To view the CCE presentation, fast forward to 1:40:00 after clicking on the link.

On this page, you can download and review the updated technical feasibility study. The public is welcome to attend the County's next Community Choice Energy Advisory Committee Meeting on Thursday, October 22 from 7:00-9:00 pm at 400 Harbor Blvd., Belmont, CA 94002.
