Beautiful and bountiful! Tomatoes, corn, peppers, beans, sunflowers and more! The St. Francis Center will be adding a second community garden across the street from the St. Clare apartments on Marlborough Avenue. One more positive change in North Fair Oaks! To build this garden, Sister Christina had to seek an amendment to their Planned Unit Development (PUD) which took about 18 months. Her persistence paid off! The community garden was approved unanimously by the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. Several neighbors spoke in favor of the project and talked about the wonderful work done by Sister Christina and the St. Francis Center and the Siena Youth Center.
